Explain things right where you see them
Laofu Canvas is a transparent drawing layer over your Mac screen. Write, circle, and point over slides, web pages, or other on-screen content without moving it into another app. Switch back to mouse pass-through to continue using the app underneath.
Write, then return to your work
- Toggle between ink and mouse pass-through with a keyboard shortcut.
- Use eight tools: pen, highlighter, eraser, line, arrow, rectangle, ellipse, and pointer.
- Choose colors and stroke widths, undo, redo, or clear the canvas.
- Hide marks when leaving ink mode, then keep or clear them when you return.
- Keep the drawing locally on your Mac, with no account required.
Scope and availability
For macOS 14 or later, with Apple Silicon as the primary target. The first version supports a single display. Marks stay fixed on the screen and do not follow scrolling pages. Screenshot export, AI, OCR, and cloud sync are not included.
